National Park Tours; Excellent Game Viewing & Spectacular Safari Drives

BIC004:        Murchison Falls National Park: (2 Days/1 Night); Excellent Game drive, White Nile Falls at a
Close range in Boat Drive & Lots of Fun
Location & Time Estimates: 300km North West of Kampala (6 hour drive)
Murchison Falls National park is the largest park in the country and it is traversed by the great Nile River which
provides with unique falls (by which the park derives its name). A visit to the top of the falls offers a spectacular
experience where several million gallons of water squeeze in a hardly 7 meter gap before it plunges into thunderous
echo falling down 40 meters. At the White Nile Fallls, the Victoria Nile contracts to a mere 6 metres, resulting in a
waterfall of astonishing power and one of Uganda’s most spectacular sights.

Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Kampala in the early morning and drive northwards for Masindi. Have an Early Lunch at a hotel of
choice in Masindi town. Drive the southern Route to catch up the Launch Trip at 2Pm.  Three hours Launch trip hike
the fall & be picked from the top of the fall. A boat cruise upstream to the bottom of the falls is amongst the
unforgettable experience the park has to offer giving the opportunity to view giraffe, elephants, schools of hippos,
crocodiles, buffaloes, lions, leopards and an abundance of birdlife including the famous shoebill stork. This park
offers typical African safaris. Drive to Red Chilli Rest Camp Or Sambiya River Lodge for supper & overnight.

Day 2: After Breakfast drive through the scenic Northern Route. Explore the Parks amazingly high concentration of
game. Stop over at Budongo Forest Reserve for a mini- chimp trek at Kaniyo Pabidi (Both Park Fee & Chimp Track
fees apply). Expect to see other primates including giraffe, lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hartebeests and
many more.  Drive back to Kampala & drop off at residence or hotel.

BIC005:         Kibale National Park (2 days/1 night); Chimpanzee tracking, Nature walk & a spectacular
birding experience
Location & Time Estimates: 350km west of Kampala (4.5 hour drive).
Best known for its chimpanzees, the park is home to 13 primate species - the greatest variety and concentration in
East Africa - and numerous forest birds. Several habituated chimpanzee families provide the focus for excellent
tracking. With more than 30 crater lakes, it is a great place for hiking.
Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Kampala early morning for Fort Portal. Stop over for Lunch at The Gardens in Fort Portal.  Afternoon
take a spectacular game drive in the Kibale Forest in the search of Birds. Proceed to an evening Dinner, and
overnight at Kanyanchu.

Day 2: After breakfast we visit Kibale Forest National Park, reputed to have the greatest variety and highest
concentration of primates in East Africa. Take a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild
chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many other primates. After lunch, explore
the Crater Lake region, which has more than 30 crater lakes. Depart for Kampala, arrive late evening. Drop off at
residence or Hotel.

BIC006: Lake Mburo National Park (1 day); Excellent Game Drive, & Lots of Fun at the Equator
Distance & Time Estimates: 250km South West of Kampala (3.5 hour drive).
With a varying landscape of open plains, acacia grasslands and marshes this park is home to a huge array of flora
and fauna. About 68 different species of mammals can be found within its 260km². The park also has approx. 313
different species of birds including Uganda's national emblem, the crested crane.
Itinerary
Day One: Depart Kampala early morning. Arrive at Lake Mburo at about 10:00am. Brief 30 minutes by park
headquarters. Start Game drive. Return to Kampala late evening. Stop over at the Equator for fascinating equator
experiments and craft shopping. Drop off at place of residence or Hotel.

BIC007: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (4 Days/3 Nights; Gorilla Tracking, Jungle Walk, Bird
Watching, Bunyonyi Lake Boat trip

Location & Time Estimates: 530km south west of Kampala (8.5 hour drive).  
Located in South west of the country, on the edge of the Western Rift Valley Bwindi NP is home to half of the
world's remaining 600 mountain gorillas and other primate species (including chimpanzees and black & white colobus
monkeys), as well as many mammals (including elephant, leopard, bush pig, giant forest hog). There are also 202
species of butterfly. Among the 300+ bird species are several endangered and localised varieties.
Itinerary
Day One: Morning departure for the south with stops at the craft village at the Uganda Equator for pictures and
shopping. Have lunch at the Rwizi Arch Hotel in Mbarara. Proceed through the beautiful evergreen banana
plantations and Farmland in Bushenyi, through Rukungiri to Kanungu District.  Arrive late evening for dinner and
overnight at Buhoma Homestead.

Day Two: Early breakfast at 7:00am. Briefing by park ranger guides. Later with packed lunch, Gorilla trekking starts
at 8:30am. It takes about 8 hours of trekking to find the Mountain gorillas. The tracking starts at the area where
the gorillas were the previous day. After a full hour with the gorillas, return to your accommodations for dinner and
overnight

Day Three: After breakfast, transfer to Kabale for lunch at Bunyonyi overland Camp.  Afternoon join the boat ride
on Lake Bunyonyi enjoy good scenery of Kabale hills referred to as the "Little Switzerland". Late evening enjoy
campfire and a drink in the cool breeze of Kabale.

Day Four: Depart early morning for Lake Mburo National Park. Arrive in time for a boat drive for excellent game
viewing in the park. Game in the park includes; Zebra, Impala, Eland, Topi, Hippo and a variety of woodland bird
species. After lunch, depart for Kampala.


BIC008:    Queen Elizabeth National Park (3 Days/ 2Night); Incredible Biodiversity, Game Drive, Boat
Launch, Equator

Distance & Time Estimates: 435km south west of Kampala (5.5 hour drive).
Queen Elizabeth National Park has more mammals than any other Ugandan park and a diversity of ecosystems
(acacia grasslands, papyrus swamps, rainforest, and volcanic crater lakes) to thrill any naturalist. The Ishasha sector
of the park is home to a famous population of tree-climbing lions. The Maramagambo Forest has a number of
flamingo-lined crater lakes and the 100-metre deep Kyambura River Gorge is the setting for an excellent game walk
to see habituated chimpanzees. Lying across the Equator, this 1,978km² park is bordered to the South West by
Lake Edward and to the Northeast by Lake George with the Kazinga Channel connecting the two.

High on a peninsula overlooking the Kazinga Channel between Lakes Edward and George, Mweya Lodge has one of
the most beautiful views in Uganda and a feel of true African Wildlife. The lakeside location of the luxury Jacana
Safari Lodge is impressive and ideal for visiting all the northern and southern sectors of the park.

Itinerary:
Day One: Depart Kampala early morning heading for Mbarara. Stop over for Lunch at selected Hotel/Restaurant.
Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy a good panoramic view with banana and tea plantations, with lots of
crater lakes in Bushenyi District. Late evening boat launch at Kazinga Channel Good opportunity for photography.
Dinner & overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day Two: After breakfast, with packed picnic lunch, take an early morning game drive up to Ishasha Sector. Expect
to see tree climbing Lions. Take a fancy drive through Maramagambo Forest. Retire for dinner & overnight at Jacana
Safari Lodge.

Day Three: After breakfast, take a breath taking nature walking Safari along Kyambura Gorge. This is the home of
many chimpanzee and good for forest walk.  After Lunch at Jacana Safari Lodge, drive back to Kampala having a
stop over at the Equator for fun and shopping for crafts & souvenirs. Arrive in Kampala late Evening drop off at
Hotel or place of residence.
